We did not know what to expect from our first competitive game of Touch, but training had been solid, and the boys were excited for the win. We started strong, opening the scoring, however, OBH responded quickly, showing holes in our defence. We had some nervous attacks but held the win at the first quarter.
We needed to hold our defensive line and communicate with each other to prevent their good players getting through. We did this so well, they began to become frustrated and they made mistakes which we were able to capitalise on.
Our captain did a fantastic job today and our vice captain was not only nominated by the opposition as MVP, but was also top try scorer.
A solid first effort from the whole team, and the coach is extremely excited for the rest of the season.
