Match Report by Eliza Westcott, U14A Captain

Culford started the match slowly with The Leys establishing a commanding lead. Some changes at quarter time made a difference but the visitors were still winning 9-2, at half-time.

Despite this, the squad never lost hope, staying in a positive mindset and continuing to support each other. The next quarter, Culford managed to equalise and make it 10-10. Through this, the hosts developed a big boost of energy as The Leys appeared to be fatiguing.

In the last quarter, the Culford team on court managed to stay level-headed and not rush the passes. The home side were able to carve out a lead by getting the ball into the shooting circle using a variety of passes, and the Culford shooters took the advice given to them and got in front of their player to receive the ball they wanted. Defensively, Culford also managed to get in front of their opponents on The Leys' centre passes and explode out of their starting position, turning over most of their efforts on goal. As a result of never giving up and a fantastic squad effort, Culford emerged victorious at the final whistle to win 15-11.

Today was a really tight game and took an amazing comeback from the team. I was really proud of the whole squad and we should look forward to our next match where we hope for another winning result.
